GCG is proud to be managing the LEED certification for the new Kansas City Airport Terminal! The new state of the art terminal is set to open in March 2023 and is targeting LEED Gold Certification. At 1-million square feet, the terminal will be the largest single infrastructure project in Kansas City’s history. GCG has been engaged from early in design and working collaboratively with the project team to ensure the City’s performance targets are realized.

Congratulations to St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute for being the first LEED-BD+Cv4 Healthcare certification in Kansas! ACI Boland Architects was the architect of record who established sustainable building goals with the owner and project team from conception. The project incorporates optimal daylighting and a focus on health and wellbeing for this new 90,000 square foot facility. The Rehabilitation Institute provides therapy for short and longer-term patients and outdoor respite areas were carefully designed to provide a meaningful amenity to patients and staff.

Fiserv Forum

Have you heard the buzz about Arc? Arc provides tools to collect, manage, and score data needed for LEED certification. The tools provided help people understand the environmental impacts of a building or space, while achieving a performance score. The Milwaukee Buck’s Fiserv Forum and Training Center achieved LEED Silver certification in 2018 and GCG is now engaged to facilitate Arc certification. The buildings have been benchmarked for energy, water, waste, air quality and occupant transportation.
